What if I can't get them on the phone? - Psht. That's a legitimate risk.
(laughs) - It's not even trying to call them. It's like, telling me that -- - Well, we will email them. - We'll email them. We'll let them know. (laughter) - Sounds good. - Tonga. - But they should get it in time to do it and that's -- - Oh, yeah. - gonna be really fun. - That's all that matters. - Yeah. - Okay guys, here we go! - [Garrett] So a little bit of how the process works here in Tonga: Every morning, as soon as the sun starts coming up, a boat picks us up from our dock. But there's a lot of docks here, so the kids chalked beautiful prayer flags right along so the boat could see where we were waiting each morning. (upbeat music) (drawing with chalk sounds) - [Garrett] Whoa! (kid laughter) - Good news! We woke up to the news that the hurricane will probably miss us. - Yeah, it's gonna take a little detour South but it's still gonna get us a lot of wind -- - [Candice] A lot of rain. - [Andy] Heavy surf and rain. - [Candice] So we've got the house going, it's getting painted on the outside. We're getting little repairs done. A lot of termite damage, so we had to repair and replace a lot of the wood. So the Gees had this really fun idea: they have this surf board company that they love. It's called Albumsurf. And they said, "Hey. Would you guys want to send us 3 surfboards in our colors? So red, blue, green. So we have the little garage off to the side of the house and we asked John, our master craftsman, if he would come up with some kind of system to rig it, so that it could, like, show off the surfboards but still be usable every day. So he came up with this really cool little, like, hook system under the bottom. He even got matching bungees. - [Andy] So thoughtful. - [Candice] That's the level. That's the level we go to. - [Andy] That's what we're doing for you, guys. - We didn't do it. John did it. - Well someone's did it for you guys. - But I told John to do a good job, and he like did an amazing job. So it's super important to us and the Gees that they feel connected to their house while they're traveling the world. And we've installed these amazing Vivint outdoor cameras, so they can check on their yard, check on their amazing view no matter where they are. - [Andy] They can check on the turtles. - They can make sure everything in their yard is safe and secure. And we've talked about being connected to the home, but what better way than being able to see the view from your house at any time. - [Candice] See exactly what's going at that exact moment. And turtle cam is a huge bonus. - I know, I think that any time we run into them, I'm gonna ask to see the live turtle cam. - I know! (laughter) Man, I'm gonna miss these turtles! - [Andy] Alright, so the porch is painted and it looks awesome. - [Candice] I don't know what happened. I was like, instantly, the house just made a turn. Like, it's ready! - Yeah, it goes from like, "work in progress", to "oh my gosh! It's a finished house. We've better put everything together." - [Candice] So I picked out this beautiful outdoor furniture set from Wayfair, of course. And it's gonna look great up there. It's gonna fill that space really well. It's got a little loveseat, and 2 chairs and a table. - [Andy] Yeah, it's really nice. I'm excited to see it in place. It's not even gonna feel like a job site anymore. - I know, that's like when we're for real for real. - That's like, take your shoes off, dust your feet and don't make a mess. - Yeah. - [Garrett] Answer it! - Oh! Look at her! - [Candice] Hi! - [Garrett] You're on our front porch! - Are you ready to see a little sneak peak of your front porch? - What the heck? - [Garrett] We got patio furniture? - [Jessica] Whaat? - You have loveseat... - Oh my gosh! I cannot even handle it. We come home so soon! Oh my gosh, Thanks for showing us! We can't wait to see you soon! - OF course, see you soon! Bye! (guitar music) - So this is the last video we are making before we travel home. And I think it's very appropriate that we say a big thank you to you, Andy and Candice and your entire team. - It's totally bittersweet. Totally bittersweet. Like, I'm so proud of us and what we've done, and how much hard work it has been, and all the long days and like, changes that our kids have gone through and the inconsistencies, but this house is seriously just gonna be like an absolute reward. We're getting all the crying out now so when we get to Hawaii we'll be silent. Alright, we're packing, just a few quick flights back to... The Hawaiian Islands... And home. We're on it. We're traveling home. - See you soon! - Bye! We'll see you soon Andy and Candice, we can't wait! (sighs) - Let's do this. - The sun is shining, the house is painted, we didn't have to go through a hurricane. - Those are jazz hands. - Oh. - I'm excited! - Ahh! - Wooo! (laughs) - I'm excited. I'm not as tired as I normally am, because, honestly, there wasn't a lot we could do to make this happen besides stress out, put together a little bit of furniture. - Yeah. This was one were we relied heavily on our crew and they did a great job. - Yeah, they really went above and beyond. - Between everyone wanting to go surfing, and everyone having to deal with the rain, it was a hard work week. - Yeah, it really was. But guys, look how beautiful this house is! It's, it's like fresh, crisp, modern, historic, everything we love. - [Andy] Yeah, I think fresh is a great way to describe it. - [Candice] Yeah, Tonga green. - [Andy] It feels like if you roll up here and you saw it, you would be so excited and intrigued by this place and it just changed the whole mood and the whole feeling of the house. - [Candice] Yeah. So we painted the house a beautiful dark green with creamy trim. - [Andy] Yep. - [Candice] And then we painted the front door, the color's actually called cardboard. Eventually that's gonna go back to it's original wood, but we seriously had nowhere to work on it. - [Andy] Yeah, we couldn't really lay it out on sawhorses in the rain, and so we decided to paint it for now. It looks cool! - Yeah, it looks good! I mean that's what's gonna look like when it's wood. - Yeah. - [ Candice] We got the lights up, and those light are so beautiful. - [Andy] Yeah, those porch lights are amazing. - [Candice] Those came from Wayfair, and I love how they look. Like they're really simple, but also kind of historic, kind of modern. That's hopefully the theme. - [Andy] Yeah, and it really changes the whole mood of that front porch and the garage that has the lights on it. - [Candice] Oh my gosh! - It's so like, warm, and... I don't know how to explain it. Just look at it! - Guys, I wish you could be here just to show you! (laughter) But we painted the garage door kind of an off black. That's the same color we painted underneath on the porch. - [Andy] I think it is, yeah. - Mmhmm. And it kind of like brings that like, little bit of a neutral accent to the house.
